Circle of Security Parenting (COSP)

Description:
COSP is an evidence-based parenting program that helps caregivers strengthen the parent–child relationship. It provides practical tools to better understand children’s emotional needs, support secure attachment, and respond to challenging behaviours with confidence.


Outcomes:
Throughout the program, parents are invited to reflect on their experiences and explore new ways of understanding their child’s needs. By the end, many caregivers feel more confident in supporting their child’s emotions and have practical strategies to build secure, connected relationships.

World Health Organisation Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS)

Developmental Profile, 4th Edition (DP-4)

The DP-4 is a standardised assessment that evaluates a child’s development across five key areas: Physical, Adaptive Behavior, Social–Emotional, Cognitive, and Communication. Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)

Sensory Processing Measure (SPM)

Parent Assess

Age Range: Parents and caregivers of children (all ages)

Description:
Parent Assess is a structured assessment tool designed to evaluate parenting capacity, strengths, and areas where additional support may be needed. It considers factors such as safety, emotional warmth, stability, guidance, and a parent’s ability to meet their child’s physical and emotional needs.

Report:
The Parent Assess report provides a clear overview of parenting skills, identifying protective factors as well as challenges. It offers evidence-based recommendations to support family functioning, inform intervention planning, and assist in decision-making for services and supports.

Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)

Age Range: 2–17 years

Description:
The SDQ is a brief behavioural screening questionnaire used to identify a child or young person’s strengths and emotional or behavioural difficulties. It covers five areas: emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, peer relationships, and prosocial behaviour.

Developmental Behaviour Checklist - Second Edition (DBC-2)

The DBC-2 is a standardised questionnaire designed to assess emotional and behavioural problems in children and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities. It evaluates difficulties across areas such as disruptive behaviour, anxiety, social relating, depression, and communication disturbance.

The DBC-2 report provides detailed insights into a child’s behavioural and emotional profile. Findings support diagnosis, intervention planning, monitoring of progress, and applications for funding or services such as the NDIS.
